Most notably known as bass player for Dickey Betts & Great Southern, Pedro Arevalo is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/producer with a wide spread of influences from all over the world.
The electric and upright bass, resonator guitar, lap steel, Puerto Rican cuatro, and electric side guitar are among the many instruments Pedro incorporates into his original mélange of sound, which bears the imprint of Folk, Jazz, Delta Blues, Americana, Latin, and Caribbean music. Expertly drawing from this broad palette to keep his inspirations flowing, Arevalo captivates his audiences with his one-of-a-kind sound, a unique blend of roots music and indigenous south Florida creole.
Most recently, Pedro has been expressing his original flavors with violinist and companion, Zooey Seraphine, on violin & vocals in their project, Pedro y Zooey. Together, they also explore transcendental states and meditation, composing & channeling music for sound journey experiences for mystical, meditative, & artistic private & public events.
